Sharma castigates state government for creating posts of ADC's on political considerations
and ignoring deserving areas

Jammu, February 17, (Scoop News)-JKPCC leader, Ravinder Sharma, has blamed the State government of adopting totally arbitrary attitude and pure favoritism on political considerations in the creation of the posts of ADCs in different areas, ignoring areas which were more deserving on all parameters and merit, which has resulted into unrest amongst people.

In a statement, Sharma lashed out at the PDP-BJP government for adopting an arbitrary approach in total disregard to merit or criteria and without adopting any fair or transparent procedure or mechanism for the creation of these administrative units, which has caused large scale resentment and unrest in different parts like Nowshera and Sunderbani, while ADC has been setup at Koteranka, besides in Billawar and Basohli etc, which are represented by ministers in the government.

He questioned that how can a democratic government do it in such an arbitrary manner purely on political considerations least caring for the genuine demands and needs of the people, without considering any reasonable parameters or adopting any fair, transparent criteria for the same.

The previous governments, in order to extend such administrative facilities, have always adopted some mechanism like setting up of Billoria Committee, Ganai Committee and thereafter the proposals were considered and examined by the cabinet sub-committee but now only pick and choose for political interest of ruling parties has been the sole criteria, for peace meal announcements, which is questionable.

The people of Nowshera are observing indefinite bandh and people of Sunderbani and several other areas in Rajouri and Poonch have also resorted to protests and the government is totally unmoved and people have been left to fight for their rights.

The government is squarely responsible for creating this chaos and confusion and mess of the situation on this front. He asked the government to immediately consider and accede to the genuine demands of the agitating people without further delay....
