| NC Women Wing condemn BJP’s pro-rapist rally | |
Jammu, February 18, (Scoop News)-Provincial President of Women Wing Satwant Kaur Dogra today strongly condemned a pro-rapist rally led by a BJP leader in support of arrested SPO’s for alleged rape and murder of 8 years old girl in Kathua.
Expressing shock and surprise over the uncalled for rally, Satwant said that a rapist has no race, caste or religion and BJP should refrain from giving religious color to this horrific crime. It is the first time in my life that I have seen a pro-rapist rally, this is really disturbing and a dangerous trend. “There is no religion in rape, when a rapist take a life in such a manner he is a killer and no personage or political party should protect him or allow him to hide behind his robes and seek absolution said Satwant.
Provincial President said that it is the collective responsibility of the society to identify the frenzy elements hiding behind religion and trying to destroy the social fabric which could lead to the serious ramifications for the society at large and these elements should not be allowed to unleash their communal agenda under the garb of ultra nationalism.
Satwant said that government should expedite the investigations set in motion by the SIT to take it to the logical conclusion and should ensure that the culprits are awarded the maximum punishment that sets an example.
