| JKVHA condoles demise of Manmohan Sharma | |
Srinagar, February 23, (Scoop News)- Executive Director, J&K Voluntary Health Association (JKVHA) A.M.Mir (IAS Retd) condoled the demise of Manmohan Sharma, founder Director of Punjab Voluntary Health Association. A condolence meeting was organised by JKVHA at Pandrethan, Srinagar. Speaking on the occasion, Mir said that Sharma spent his whole life to improve issues of social concern, particularly Health and Tobacco Control and he will always be remembered for his enormous contribution towards the enactment and implementation of PNDT Act and free supply of medicines to HIV/AIDS patients in Punjab.
Mir informed that Chairman of Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI) Alok Mukhpopadhyay has decided to organise a meeting of all State VHAs in memory of Manmohan at Chandigarh, next week.
JKVHA also expressed condolences with MLA Kargil, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai on the demise of his daughter and prayed that the bereaved family may get strength to bear this unfortunate loss and prayed for eternal peace, for the departed soul.
