| GoI provides financial assistance for modernizing Museums | |
Jammu, March 13, (Scoop News)--Union Ministry of Culture is operating a Museum Grant Scheme under which financial assistance is available for State Government and Societies, Autonomous Bodies, Local Bodies and Trusts registered under the Societies Act.
The scheme supports setting up of new Museums, strengthen and modernize the existing museums at the Regional, State and District level, digitization of art objects in the museums for making their images/catalogues available over the website and the capacity building of museums professionals. The guidelines of the Museums Grant scheme are available on the website of the Ministry atwww.indiaculture.nic.in.
It is accordingly informed to all the private museums (Societies, Autonomous Bodies, Local Bodies and Trusts registered under the Societies Act) of the Jammu and Kashmir State to avail the benefits of the scheme.
