| NC leaders visit Balakote; convey condolences to kin of shelling victims | | 
Balakote (LOC) March 18, (Scoop News)-Senior National Conference leaders on Sunday visited Balakote, close to Line of Control, and expressed their deep grief over the death of five members of a family in unprovoked shelling from across. They described the incident as most tragic and expressed solidarity with the people.
Provincial President National Conference Mr Devender Singh Rana accompanied by former Deputy Chairman LC and MLA Mr Javed Rana, Provincial YNC President Mr Ajaz Jan besides Provincial Vice President Choudhry Haroon, Co-Chairman NC SC Cell Mr Vijay Lochan, Co-Chairman NC OBC Cell Mr Abdul Gani Teli, conveyed condolences on behalf of the party President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Working President Mr Omar Abdullah to kin and residents of Balakote.
On reaching the devastated village near the Zero Line, Mr Rana and other National Conference leaders went to grave yard and paid respects to mortal remains of the shelling victims. They also visited the residence of the unfortunate family and conveyed condolences to large number of mourners, assembled there.
“The tragedy cannot be described in words”, Mr Rana said while sharing the agony and loss of the people of Balakote in the shelling.
The National Conference leaders prayed for peace to departed souls and early recovery of injured.
