4RR and Bhaderwah Campus JU Organizes a Workshop on "Chenab Valley Vision 2030"

Bhaderwah,April 16, (Scoop News)- 4 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army in collaboration with Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu today organized a workshop on the theme ‘Chenab Valley Vision 2030’.


Brig. Rohit Nautiyal, Commander 4RR was the chief guest during the function. In his address, he highlighted the main objectives of organizing this even in the Bhaderwah Campus. He stressed upon the contribution of Indian army in bringing youths of the Chenab valley to the main stream of development and making the Chenab valley peaceful. He also advised youths to channelize their energies in the right direction and stay away from the nuisance of drugs and other negative activities. Col. S.S Kartikayan, Sena Medal , was the guest of honor on the occasion.

Earlier, Professor G M Bhat, Rector, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu welcomed the august gathering to one of the most beautiful campuses of University of Jammu where this programme was being organized. While speaking on the occasion Prof. Bhat stressed upon the need of out of box thinking and harmonious environment which are prerequisites for the development of this region. Youth are the face of society and their contribution is very critical for securing peace, prosperity and happiness for any nation.


A debate competition was also organized on the occasion in which students of GDC Bhaderwah, GDC Doda and Bhaderwah Campus participated. Among the audience students from different schools, colleges and university campuses spread all across the Chenab valley participated. The debate competition was judged by a panel of expert judges from different fields. Miss Nazish Wani of Governmet Degree College, Doda secured first position in debate competition followed by Miss Kibriya Fatima and Miss Fariha Rasool both from Government Degree College, Bhaderwah who secured second and third position respectively. Mr. Ruhan Sajad, a student of Little Angel School, Bhaderwah Campus also expressed his understanding on the theme of the programme.

As a gesture of goodwill and respect, 4RR of Indian Army presented 672 books to the Bhaderwah Campus which would be placed in the central library of the campus for the benefit of the students and teachers.

The function was organized under the leadership of Col. D.D. Pandey CO, 4 RR and other officers of Indian Army and faculty members of the Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu.


The function witnessed a huge gathering of more than six hundred audience including learned academicians, members of civil society, students from different schools and colleges besides the members of electronic and print media.
At the end, Professor GM Bhat proposed to conduct a Forensic workshop which will follow bottom up approach to decide the Vision 2030 and concluded the function formally thanking each and everyone.
