| Media person elect its new body, urges to inspire professionalism, affiliates to IUJ | |
Leh(Ladakh), April 19, (Scoop News)_In an extraordinary meeting of its general council, Leh based media persons Wednesday unanimously elected the office bearers of Ladakh Journalists Union (L JU) with an objective to project their issues before the concerned authorities as a professional body.
The meeting enjoined upon to inspire professionalism among the media fraternity by sharing and counseling each other while carrying out their duties. During the meeting, fresh applicants, representing different media organizations, were also enrolled as members of the general council.
The office bearers of L JU included Rinchen Angmo, (Reach Bulletin) as its president, Nissar Hussain, (ETV-Urdu) and Matop Stanzin (Times of Ladakh) as vice presidents, Tsewang Rigzin (State Times) as general secretary and Stanzin Desal nominated as treasurer besides Tashi Marup as advisor.
The general council also agreed to affiliate the union with Indian Union of Journalists (IUJ)... |
