CUK’s DSW holds orientation for competitive exam aspirants

Srinagar, April 23, (Scoop News)-The Department of Students Welfare (DSW) Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in collaboration with PACE Academy organised an orientation for the aspirants of various competitive examinations at Nowgam-I campus of the University.
The inaugural session was chaired by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din, while as noted columnist Mr. Zahid G. Muhammad was the special guest on the occasion. Welcoming the guests, the Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Nika expressed optimism about the success of the programme in view of the capabilities of the participants and the expertise of the resource person Prof. Tariq Ahmad Khan, from Jamia Millia Islamia. He also said that our youth are highly talented but need proper direction and counselling in pursuit of their careers.
Inaugurating the training programme, the Vice-Chancellor advised the participants to be focused on their studies and cultivate perseverance to pursue the subject with determination, dedication, zest and zeal. Revealing his experience as an academician, the Vice-Chancellor said that an average student can even crack the examination if he or she remains focused on the subject of his or her greater choice.
Earlier Mr. Zahid G Muhammad advised the participants to be careful in choice of subjects and stay focused for a guaranteed success. The inaugural session culminated with a vote of thanks. This was followed by a training session in which about one hundred participants were present. The session was conducted by Prof. Tariq Ahmad Khan, professor of history and expert trainer in which the participants evinced much interest. Prof. Khan advocated for a holistic approach rather than fragmented one for passing the multi-tier examination. He also appreciated the PACE academy and Central University of Kashmir for working to show the roadmap to the students to prepare the competitive examination. He also responded to the queries from the participants.
