| Govt. issued notification for conducting Bye-election in Thiksay Constituency of LAHDC, Leh | |
Leh, April 24, (Scoop News)- The Government vide SRO 186 dated: 23-04-2018 has issued notification for conducting Bye-election to elect new Councilor for 14 Thiksay constituency of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh. As such, in pursuance of Rule 12 of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (Election) Rules, 1995, the following dates for the purpose hereby fixed:-
1. Date from which nomination can be made 01-05-2018
2. Last date for filing nominations 15-05-2018
3. Date for scrutiny of nominations 16-05-2018
4. Last date for withdrawal of nominations 18-05-2018
5. Date on which Poll shall, if necessary, be taken 04-06-2-18
6. Date of Counting 07-06-2018
7. Date before which the Election shall be
completed 10-06-2018
It is pertinent to mention that the Councilor seat of Thiksay Constituency has been lying vacant since 29th January 2018 in the wake of demise of Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo ( Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor) who was representing this Constituency as the Council
