| Monga congratulates Leh Congress leader for winning by-election to Shey-Thiksey of LAHDC | |
Srinagar, June 09, (Scoop News)- J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President G N Monga today congratulated leaders and workers of Congress Committee Leh for winning by-elections to a Shey-Thiksey segment that was lying vacant due to the death of BJP member in LAHDC Leh.
“It is victory of secular forces and a precursor to what is in store for communal forces not only in Jammu and Kashmir, but across the country. The recent by-election results in various state of India are enough indications that Congress party is making a strong come back,” Monga said in a statement issued to press in Srinagar.
“In the coming Parliament election, Congress party under the dynamic leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhiji and able guidance of Smt Sonia Gandhiji will make a strong comeback all over the country,” he said while congratulating J&K Congress Legislature Party leader Nawang Rigzin Jora and others leaders for ensuring impressive victory of the Party in Shey-Thiksey byelection.
He also greeted Congress candidate Tundup Gyatso for the victory. “The time of communal forces not only in J&K but across the country is over. The consolidation of secular forces has stopped the march of communal forces,” the Congress leader added.
