Communal, Bigoted, biased attitude behind not declaring Sept 23 as state holiday: Lal Singh
CBI probe must in Rasana Case, agitation to be intensified in days to come !

Jammu, June 18, (Scoop News)- September 23 will be a holiday all over Jammu and Kashmir since it is the day when Maharaja Hari Singh was born, a Maharaja who gave this state several important legislations besides creating institutions which have over the years become economic backbone of the state.
Ex-Minister and MLA Basholi Choudhary Lal Singh said this in a statement issued here today. “Highly communal, bigoted and regionally biased thinking of the state government-led by a Kashmir based political parties is the only reason why state holiday is not being declared on September 23 on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh. He was secular to the core. A brave Dogra, he brought several reforms in the state revenue and financial system. It was during his time that Jammu and Kashmir used to export silk. His contribution has been exemplary and historic,” said Choudhary Lal Singh.
“If the state desists from declaring a state holiday, I appeal every Dogra of Jammu and Kashmir to observe state holiday on September 23. Those Kashmiri leaders who are opposing the state holiday should look inwards and ponder over their contribution to the state. Their only achievement has been that they have looted the state wealth and constructed palatial houses. They have victimized people of Jammu region. We have got everything after Bandhs, Hartals and agitations. This needs to be changed and it won’t be possible until the day we speak in one voice,” said Choudhary Lal Singh.
“Whenever they see Jammu region united, attempts are made to create confusion and divide us along political, religious and caste based lines. But it seems that all their attempts have met with failure this time. The 8 year old Goddess from Rasana has brought us all together. We are speaking in one voice. And be sure, they would be forced to recommend CBI probe and if they delay, those who call themselves leaders of Jammu region would be left with no option but to join the revolution which is slowly but steadily gaining momentum all over Jammu region,” said Choudhary Lal Singh.
“Even those who are part of the state government from Jammu region would have to part ways and join this movement for justice. And if they do not, they will have search constituencies in Kashmir valley from where they will contest elections as and when they are held. This is public sentiment and mood which I am conveying since I have addressed more than 400 gatherings all over Jammu region. I can tell you with surety people won’t forgive you,” said Choudhary Lal Singh
Choudhary Lal Singh said “CBI probe in Rasana case would be first step towards our greater good. We have faced worst kind of discrimination at the hands of those who talk at length about secularism of Jammu region when it suits them and call us communal when we seek an end to the discrimination. If CBI is the only credible institution for Kashmir valley, why it becomes doubtful in the case of Jammu is a question whose only answer is that Kashmir based politicians see CBI through a communal and religious lens. And when they do so, they are not communal.”
“But when we raise questions over Crime Branch, we are immediately called communal so that we are silenced. But this trick won’t work this time since in Rasana case; it is now a Do or Die battle for every Dogra. And when I say Dogra, I do not see what religion on professes. We are united and we won’t let you divide us again. And I am surprised; those who feel religious pilgrimages are threat to their geography and environment, they are teaching Dogras secularism,” said Choudhary Lal Singh.
He added “Let me make it clear that Dogras won’t rest till CBI inquiry is not ordered,” Regarding the ceasefire, Choudhary Lal Singh said “Friends of separatists and terrorist are frustrated with central government announcing withdrawal of the ceasefire. Their frustration is likely to peak and we need to launch all out operation against the terrorists and their handlers. No dialogue with those who represent terrorists and call themselves pro-Pakistan and pro-terrorist. And if they wish to have a dialogue, they should be asked to contest elections and if they win, only then they should be allowed to seek or participate in a dialogue.”
