A minor killed, four injured in Shopian blast
Srinagar, July 11, (Scoop News)- A minor boy was killed and four children were injured in a blast inside a residential compound in Shopian district today, the police said.
Police spokesman said that on Wednesday afternoon, an explosion occurred at the house of Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Gani resident of Sheikh Nag in Memandar in District Shopian, resulting in injuries to some children in the house.
He said that in the incident among the injured, one child Salik Iqbal Sheikh unfortunately succumbed to his injuries whereas the other four are being treated in the hospital.
Police has registered a case in this regard and is in the process of ascertaining the cause of explosion.
