Tundup Gyatso takes oath as Councilor of 14 Thiksey constituency



Leh(Ladakh), July 14, (Scoop News)- Principal District & Session Judge, Sunil Gupta who has been prescribed the authority under SRO 291, Section 11 of LAHDC Act, 1997 administered the oath taking of Tundup Gyatso, candidate Indian National Congress as the Councilor of 14 Thiksey constituency, Leh district today at DC office conference hall, Leh.
Tundup Gyatso has won the Thiksey Councilor seat by 110 votes as per the result of by-election declared on June 7, 2018. The by-election was conducted on June 4, 2018 due to the seat falling vacant after the sad and untimely demise of former CEC, LAHDC Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo who was the elected candidate of BJP from Thiksey constituency for the 5th LAHDC, Leh.
Tundup Gyatso in his statement said that he will continue with the projects and works started by late Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo in the constituency that are benefitting the public at large. He said that he is committed to ensure uniform development in his constituency. He expressed his dedication to offer his services in providing maximum benefit to the public and where necessary take up new projects on priority basis.
Dinesh Gupta, Chief Judicial Magistrate, CEC LAHDC Dorjey Motup, EC Agriculture Tsering Wangdus, EC Health Gyal P Wangyal, MLA Leh Nawang Rigzin Jora, Mobile Magistrate Tsewang Phuntsog, ADC Moses Kunzang, Councilors, District Officers, representatives of different political, religious and social organisations were also present on the occasion.
