| DLSA Kargil organizes National Lok Adalat | | Kargil, July 15, (Scoop News)- District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kargil under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) organized a National Lok Adalat at District Court Complex, Kargil. The Lok Adalat was held under the overall supervision of the Chairman District Legal Services Authority and Principal District & Session Judge Kargil, Sanjiv Kumar Bhagat.
Two benches were constituted during the Lok Adalat wherein 104 cases in total were taken up for hearing. 71 cases were disposed of on the spot besides an amount of Rs 62,350/= was recovered. The benches were presided over by the Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Principal District & Session Judge Kargil Sanjiv Kumar Bhagat and Munsiff Sankoo Muneer Ahmad respectively.
Massive awareness campaign was also initiated across the district by the DLSA for settlement of disputes of litigants on large scale.
Advocates of the Bar Association Kargil, prominent citizens and a large number of litigants were present on the occasion.
