| NC seeks safeguard to interests of reserved categories | |
Jammu, July 17, (Scoop News)-A meeting of District Presidents, District Secretaries and other office bearers of Scheduled Caste Cell National Conference of Jammu Province was held on 17th July, 2018 at Sher- I-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu under the Chairmanship of Mr Vijay Lochan Co- Chairman SC Cell National Conference of Jammu Province. A threadbare discussion was held on agenda points regarding latest political scenario and other important issues.
While speaking on this occasion Vijay Lochan Co- Chairman SC Cell of National Conference of Jammu province said that it is apparent from the policies of BJP that they have great lust of power. On one side the workers of BJP in Jammu are burning the effigy of Mehbooba Mufti former Chief Minister and on the side BJP high command instructed Sajjad Lone for horse trading who is leading the group of PDP MLA’s who have revolted from PDP State president Mehbooba Mufti. The BJP is still in hope to form govt. in J&K state after Amarnath yatra.
National Conference has assailed the just gone PDP-BJP coalition for ignoring weaker sections of society and failing in protecting the interests of the Scheduled Caste population of the State.
Addressing office bearers of the NC SC Cell at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here, State Secretary Mr Rattan Lal Gupta urged the Governor's administration to look into the problems faced by this segment of the society and ensure implementation of various constitutional guarantees to theme
Mr Gupta regretted that the insensitive dispensation led by Mehbooba Mufti in the state had totally failed in governance, as a result of which welfare programmes for these communities were hugely been impacted.
Referring to the initiatives taken by National Conference government from time to time in ameliorating lot of weaker sections and opening vistas of opportunities for them in decision making, Th. Kashmira Singh Ex-MLC hoped that the present administration will revive all those initiatives.
Mr Simer Dass Provincial Secretary SC Cell criticized the BJP led government at the Centre in ensuring safety of Dalits across the country and expressed anguish over atrocities being committed upon them.
