CPI-ML-Liberation assails Modi’s Kashmir policy

Jammu, July 18, (Scoop News)- The Communist Party of India-ML-Liberation state unit secretary Nirdosh Uppal has said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policy on Kashmir has gone wrong because it needs correction for engaging all stakeholders in the dialogue process for stopping bloodshed.
In a press statement issued here today, Nirdosh Uppal has said that the central government should give a serious thought to the reports of Human Rights violation of United Nations instead of rejecting them summarily. He said that these reports should be countered with course correction in dealing with the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Nirdosh Uppal has said that calls for international committees to probe the human rights violations in Kashmir should be honoured because India has nothing to hide in dealing with the situation. But, he said, these claims from Indian authorities should be backed with substantial evidence to prove their point on refuting the charges mentioned in the report.
The CPI-ML-Liberation has said that the situation in Kashmir was precarious when young people are taking to guns and ready to be killed needs serious thought and probe from Indian government. He said that human rights violations should be stopped forthwith and allow the dialogue process to continue with all the stakeholders for restoration of peace in the state.
Nirdosh Uppal has condemned the attack on Swami Agnivesh and said that this was an attack on the free speech and expression of an individual, who holds a separate and dissenting viewpoint. He said that such an approach of the ruling party will lead to anarchy in a democracy that harbours tolerance and co-existence.
