Yoom-e-Ashoora observed in Kargil with great religious fervor
People Should Follow the Path of Hussain for Peacefull World: Nazir Mehdi

Kargil, September 20 (Scoop News)-Youm-e-Ashura was observed on Thursday with reverence and religious fervour throughout Kargil Ladakh region to pay tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and his companions for their supreme sacrifice in Karbala.
Thousands of people gathered in Kargil town to commemorate the Ashura e Hussaini in Kargil town. Meanwhile these processions were organised by Anjuman e Jami’at e Isna Ashariya and Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust. People were beating their chests and reciting lamentations on Imam Hussain and his companion who gave their sacrifice for the sake of Islam in the desert in Karbala.
However, during the azadari (mourning) procession people were chanting anti US, Israel and Saudi slogans and expressing their solidarity with the people of Yemen, Bahrain, Qatif, Nigeria and Syria.
Similar processions were taken out in Drass , Tai-Suru, Sankoo and Leh during which thousands commemorated the martyrdom of the Grandson of the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)

Meanwhile President Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama Isna Ashriya Kargil HUjjatul Islam Wal Muslameen Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohmmadi while presenting the Sermon of Ashura At Inqilab Manzil on Ashura 2018 said that for a peacfull and harmonious world people shold folow the path of Imam Hussain who is the beacon of Harmony, Peace and amity for the whole Human Kind.

Thousands of People dressed in black converged on the roads of Kargil town in the form of Mourning Processions Beating their chest and back with chains, reciting Noha (elegies ) from nearby villages passing through the Premises of Hozia Ilmiya Kargil concluded at Qatil Ghahe Hussaini, Inqilab Manzil in commemoration of Ashura, the 10th day of the lunar month of Muharram, which fell on Thursday in Kargil after sighting of first Moon of Muhram ten days back.
Sheikh Nazir Mehdi on this occasion urged upon the people to know the philosophy of Karbala which symbolize the eternal and unwavering stance of truth against falsehood and humanity’s struggle against injustice, tyranny and oppression, the cause for which Imam Hussein was martyred.
Later he prayed for a peacfull, confilict free and harmonious world for which Hazrat Imam Hussain has acrifices his life and life of his nears even that of his six month son Hazrat Ali Asgar. Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi Thanked Administration and Police for make adequate arrnagements for the peacfull conlcusuon of the Ashura Processions in Kargil.
Health Wing of Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama Isna Ashriya Kargil, Al Reza Health Care and Reasearch Foundation has organised a Blood Camp in which thousands of Azadaars COntibuted to the cause of Imam Hussain by Donating their Blood.
Youths and Valunteers of Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama Isna Ahsriya has arrnaged and distributed votive food at Sabeels for the mourners.
Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and 72 of his companions were martyred in the Battle of Karbala, in southern Iraq, in 680 AD after fighting courageously for justice against the much larger army of the Umayyad caliph, Yazid I, which some historians estimate to have been 100,000-strong.
Ashura, which is the culmination of a 10-day annual mourning period in Muharram, is also commemorated by Shia Muslims in several countries across the world.
The Muharram ceremonies symbolize the eternal and unwavering stance of truth against falsehood and humanity’s struggle against injustice, tyranny and oppression, the cause for which Imam Hussein was martyred.
