Army constructs footbridge for school going children

Udhampur,September 20 (Scoop News)-In the relentless efforts to alleviate the day to day commuting problems of the population residing in far flung areas of the state, Indian Army constructed a footbridge over a Nala to improve connectivity for school going children. In addition, the facilities of the playground at Government Middle School, Jaba were also improved.
The school located in remote area of Rajouri District had requested Army authorities for construction of a footbridge over Nala to ameliorate the problems being faced by the school children. The Army took up this cause and completed the construction of the footbridge over the Nala in a week time. The Army also undertook the activity of school playground improvement in terms of leveling and marking. The same will help the children to indulge in sports and recreational activities in future.
The Sarpanch of the Village on behalf of the students and the villagers expressed gratitude towards the Army for undertaking this essential task. This initiative has been highly appreciated by locals.
