| One Foreign JeM Commander eliminated in Tral encounter | |
Srinagar, September 23 (Scoop News)- One Foreign JeM Commander was eliminated in Tral encounter today.
Police said that in Aripal area of Tral, Awantipora, search operation was launched today jointly by a team of police and security forces based on credible inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
During search operation, hiding terrorist fired on the search party. The fire was retaliated leading to an encounter. In the ensuing encounter, one terrorist was killed. Huge quantity of arms, ammunition and incriminating material was recovered from the site of encounter.
From the incriminating material recovered, it is learnt that the killed terrorist is one of the top commanders of proscribed terror outfit JeM identified as Adnan of Pakistani origin.
Moreover, one civilian identified as Manzoor Dar from Tral sustained injuries in cross firing. He was evacuated to nearby hospital for medical attention and is stated to be stable now. Also one security force Jawan got injured in the encounter. He has been hospitalised and is stated to be stable now.
Police has registered a case and initiated investigation in the instant matter.
