Ayushman Bharat Scheme launched by PM Modi, ample proof he cares for poor: Altaf Thakur
Scheme to cover 50 crore people a year with life threatening diseases, Rs 5 lakh to be provided by Govt, J&K among 22 States to be covered

Srinagar, September 23 (Scoop News)-Lauding Prime Minister Narender Modi for launching a much awaited scheme for the ailing poor people across the Country, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) State Spokesman Altaf Thakur today said that Prime Minister’s step of unveiling the scheme called Ayushman Bharat has proved he cares for poor lot of the country. Thakur said that it stands proved that PM Modi stands by his commitment of Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas.
In a statement issued here, Thakur said that under the scheme a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh will be paid to the ailing poor persons with life threatening diseases including cancer of any type, liver, lung, stomach and diabetes besides 300 other diseases.
Ayushman Bharat , a health insurance scheme, Rs 5 lakh will be paid by govt, 315 diseases, cancer, liver, stomach etc. Thakur said that under the scheme, ailing persons can avail the help of Ayog Mitra and Asha Behanjis, who would ensure quality treatment to the ailing besides pick and drop facilities.
Thakur said that the scheme will be implemented in 22 states across India including Jammu and Kashmir. The ailing persons once registered with the scheme, will get Rs 5 lakh benefit and under the scheme, 50 lakh people will be covered annually across the country. Seconding Prime Minister Modi’s announcement that the scheme would act as a game changer for the poor, Thakur said Prime Minister really cares for the poor lot of the country irrespective of cast, creed religion and colour and that the scheme would help save thousands of precious lives every year as quality treatment will be provided to poor at their door steps.
Thakur said that the scheme will be implemented from September 25, the death anniversary of BJP founder and ideologue Pandit Din Dayal Updhaya and from the very day registration process will be started. The BJP state spokesman hailed PM Modi’s statement wherein he stated that he visits, temples, mosques, churches and other religious places and that every citizen of India was equally important for him.
Thakur said the other parties like Congress that ruled for decades together, failed to provide quality healthcare to poor but after unveiling the scheme for poor, PM Modi proved that he cares for poor and downtrodden people of India.
