SVO disposes of 35 cases







Srinagar, October 09 (Scoop News)- The State Vigilance Organization (SVO) registered 63 First Information Report (FIR) cases during the current year and disposed of 35 such cases during the current year, so far.
The information was revealed during a meeting chaired by Chief Vigilance Commissioner P. L. Gupta and Vigilance Commissioner Gazzanfer Hussain today to review FIR cases pending investigation with Vigilance Organization for the quarter ending September 2018.
Director Vigilance Organization S J M Gillani informed that the Organization has disposed of 35 FIR cases, of which 29 have been charge sheeted in the court of law.
It was given out that investigation of 60 cases, at various stages, had been stayed by the High Court, while as 25 cases were awaiting sanction from the Government for prosecution.
The Director Vigilance was advised to have the petitions moved before the court for early hearing of cases where the investigation had been stayed.
Quality of the investigation and providing of training to investigation officers also came up for the discussion during the meeting.
