| Gulmarg volleyball league held | |
Srinagar, October 09 (Scoop News)-To promote harmony and inculcate sportsman spirit among the youth, the Army had organised Gulmarg Volleyball League wherein eight teams from the adjoining areas of Nagin, Butapathri, Chorkut and Boniyar participated. The tournament was played on a knock out basis and closely contested matches were the highlight of this event. The event culminated with the prize distribution ceremony and a token of appreciation for all the participants. An eminent Social Worker - Maulvi Fareed from Poonch also attended the closing ceremony and utilised this opportunity to interact with the youth and encouraged them to engage in positive activities. The locals of the area were appreciative of the Army's endeavour to promote sporting culture in the area as it will provide opportunities to the youth to grow and flourish.
