| B Tech student Shoaib Lone joins HM, prefers gun to book | | disclosed his desire to join ranks to his classmates |
Kulgam, October 9, (Scoop News)-Disclosing his desire to join the terrorist ranks one day in Kashmir valley to his friends and classmates, Shoaib Ahmed Lone (22) was studying engineering in Uttrakhand is believed to have joined pro Pakistan Hizbul Mujhadeen (HM) last month.
The reports suggest that Lone was a student B Tech (IT) at the Alpine Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) in Dehradun and had qualified his fourth semester in May this year. After appearing in the test, he went to his home in Kulgam district but never returned to institute again thereafter.
Reports further indicate that he might have joined the ranks in the third week of last month and his picture with a gun had appeared on social media during last week of September.
His classmates admit that Lone was a hardworking and intelligent person particularly among his fellow Kashmiri students in the class. He would jokingly tell his friends that he was inclined to join militant ranks one day but they never took him seriously. They said they had no idea that he would join the terrorist ranks.
