JAKLI cycle expedition to commemorate infantry day | | Srinagar, October 13 (Scoop News)- In an endeavor to represent the far flung areas of India where the soldiers serve their motherland and which symbolises the ethos of National Integration beyond the boundaries of states, caste and culture, a Cycle Expedition Team of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry was flagged off from Udhampur by Lt Gen JS Nain, Chief of Staff, HQ Northern Command on 13th October 2018. The expedition will cover a distance of over 700 KMs from Udhampur to Delhi over a period of eight days and will traverse through J&K, Punjab and Haryana. The expedition, along with 22 other teams from various Infantry Regiments of the Army which have started from different corners of the country, will be flagged in on 27th October 2018 by the Chief of Army Staff at the India Gate as part of Infantry Day celebrations.
