Arrangements for Mega Legal Services Camp reviewed in Ganderbal
Ganderbal, October 13 (Scoop News)- Arrangements for the conduct of Mega legal services camp and Employment Fair were reviewed in a meeting of district officers chaired jointly by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ganderbal Raja Shujat Ali Khan and District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal Dr Piyush Singla. All the departments were impressed upon to coordinate for the successful conduct of the camp.
It is worth mentioning that Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ganderbal is also the chairman of District Legal Services Authority.
It was decided in the meeting that the camp will be held in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal scheduled in last week of October, 2018 in which the identified beneficiaries would receive benefits under various developmental schemes.
The camp to be held under the aegis of the judiciary will focus on imparting legal awareness besides familiarity about various flagship programmes executed by line departments for socio-economic development of people.
While speaking during the meeting the DDC said that mega camp is expected to witness a large gathering of people including beneficiaries. He said it will be mandatory for all concerned departments to install their individual stalls with relevant information to spread awareness among the participants especially youth of the district. Each department was asked to demonstrate the services being provided by them through adequate IEC literature.
He urged upon all the concerned heads to prepare a consolidated list of beneficiaries who deserve benefits envisaged through various schemes run by respective departments. The chairman District Legal Services Authority said the main focus of conducting such legal service camps and employment fair on a large scale is to facilitate free basic legal services and to provide maximum avenues of employment to the youth of the district.
The meeting among others was also attended by ADC, Ganderbal, Joint Director Planning, Ganderbal and other concerned District and sectoral officers.
