| DGP Sanctions Scholarship of Rs. 3.10 lakh for wards of deceased Police Personnel | |
Srinagar, October 15 (Scoop News)-Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh, IPS has sanctioned scholarships in favour of 62 wards of deceased Police personnel for the academic session 2018-19. An amount of Rs. 3,10,000/- scholarship have been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund for these students.
Rs.5000/- each has been sanctioned in favour of school going children of deceased Police Personnel who have expired while in service due to natural or accidental deaths. The wards who have been provided scholarships are studying in different classes from Primary to graduation level.
Police Headquarters has been sanctioning scholarships for wards of deceased police personnel and martyrs in order to provide them a succour to continue their studies.
