NC pays homage to late Ghulam Qadir Bhat

Srinagar, 20 October 2018: Srinagar, October 20 (Scoop News)- National Conference on Saturday paid glowing tributes to party veteran and freedom fighter Ghulam Qadir Bhat on his 19th death anniversary.
Speaking at a function commemorating the death anniversary of late Bhat, popularly known as Sher–e Ganderbal, at Nunar Ganderbal, party additional general secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal said, ”The situation today in the valley is no different from the times when autocracy was ruling Kashmir. The PDP-BJP dispensation has created a situation which is far more uncertain and chaotic.”
Dr. Kamal said that the best tribute to our veterans will be to strengthen National Conference at all levels and forge amity and unity among people. “Ghulam Qadir Bhat sahib was one of the stalwarts of Kashmir freedom struggle against autocratic regime. He served jails many a times and worked tirelessly for the socio-political emancipation of masses.”
He said that late Bhat shall be remembered for the role he played in his life by serving at various capacities.”The need of the hour is to emulate the spirit of such great men to work for the cause of people,” he said.
Later flower tributes and Fateha Khwani was offered at the grave of late leader. The function was attended by local National Conference functionaries.
