Need to induce confidence among minorities in Kishtwar: Khanna

Jammu, November 06 (Scoop News)-After taking up the killing of Anil Parihar and his brother with the Governor, Satya Pal Malik, at Raj Bhawan, Jammu, BJP National Vice-President & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, alongwith former State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A) and State General Secretary & MLA Sunil Sharma told media persons that it seems that a sort of economic terrorism is being carried out in Kishtwar and other areas of erstwhile Doda district with a planned conspiracy to compel the minorities to abandon their homes and hearths. This is a very serious matter and the government should use all means to restore and maintain confidence and faith of the people in the rule of law, who have been facing harsh and agonizing times under the shadow of terrorist gun for years.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that bandh calls, attack on security forces and peace loving citizens after every 5-6 years are aimed at terrorising the minorities so that in the long run they migrate to other places. He said that the burning of markets every few years also seems part of a pre-planned strategy to demoralize the minority population and the government should work towards restoring confidence among them.
Referring to the BJP leaders meeting with the Governor after their return from Kishtwar, Avinash Rai Khanna said that it was urged upon him to gear up the administration, police in particular, nab the culprits responsible for the killing of BJP State Secretary Anil Parihar and his brother and ensure that such incidents should not get repeated in future. He said that the party leaders informed the Governor that there is large number of important party workers in Kishtwar who should be provided adequate security so that they can serve the people without any fear. They also pressed for providing adequate compensation and help to the bereaved family.
Sat Sharma said that the incident of killings is particularly designed to frighten and demoralize nationalist forces and force them to migrate. He said that the fear among minorities has to be removed and an atmosphere of peace and security has to be developed for which the administration has to work relentlessly by nabbing culprits at the earliest. Every possible help be rendered to the bereaved family and other victims of terrorism must be ensured.
