Chander Mohan Gupta, Purnima Sharma file nominations as Mayor, Dy. Mayor

Jammu, November 10 ((Scoop News)-Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir today nominated its State Treasurer and Councillor from Ward No. 33, Chander Mohan Gupta as its Mayor Candidate and State Vice-President & Councillor from Ward No. 1, Advocate Purnima Sharma as Candidate for Dy. Mayor in the prestigious Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), the elections of which were held after a gap of 13 years in the state.
Earlier, in the morning, meeting of all the elected Councillors of JMC from BJP, was held at BJP’s state headquarter, Trikuta Nagar. The meeting was chaired by BJP State Vice-President & Councillor Parmod Kapahi, which was duly graced with the presence of MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister Sat Sharma, former Minister Priya Sethi, MLA Rajesh Gupta, MLCs Ashok Khajuria, S. Charanjit Singh Khalsa and other senior leaders.
BJP District Jammu President and Councillor, Baldev Singh Billawaria proposed the name of Chander Mohan Gupta as the Mayor of JMC, which was seconded by all the Councillors present in the meeting.
Also, Parmod Kapahi proposed the name of Purnima Sharma as Dy. Mayor of JMC which was seconded by all the Councillors present in the meeting.
While the top leadership of the party as well as all the Councillors projected their full faith and trust in the efficacy and dedication of the both, the duo resolved to work selflessly for the development of the region. They also said that they will work to further the mission of BJP to work for the development of every single person working on the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”.
Later, the duo proceeded in the form of Rally to the office of JMC, accompanied by Jugal Kishore Sharma, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Dr. Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, Sat Sharma, Priya Sethi, Rajesh Gupta, Ashok Khajuria and other senior leaders to file the nominations as Mayor and Dy. Mayor of the Corporation.
