| Dy DEO Kargil meets political parties | | Kargil, December 7, (Scoop News)- Deputy District Election Officer (DEO) Kargil Nargis Banoo Kargil held a meeting with the district representatives of political parties here at DC Office Kargil today.
Election Naib Tehsildar Zakir Hussain, representatives of National Conference (NC), Bhartaiya Janata Party (BJP), Indian National Congress (INC), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) along with the officials of the District Election Cell were present in the meeting.
Nargis said that appointment of Booth Level Agents by the political parties in the district is to be done by 10.12.2018. She elaborated on the awareness about ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2019 w.r.t 2019, coordination of political parties with the BLOs in the field, information about enrolled and left out electors to the BLOs, information about expired, shifted and repeated electors to the BLOs etc.
Meanwhile, the Deputy District Election Officer Kargil also solicited the views and suggestions from the representatives of the political parties and urged them to extend their full cooperation and coordination to the District Election Cell with regard to the fulfillment of the schedule within the already fixed timeframe in order to prepare a transparent Electoral Roll in view of the forth coming Assembly and Lok Sabha Elections.
She also emphasized upon the representatives of the political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents within three days and submit the list to the Election Cell.
The representatives of the political parties unanimously assured the Deputy District Election Officer, Kargil that they will coordinate with the District Election Office in order to prepare a transparent and error free Electoral Roll in the district.
