| Police pays tribute to 4 policemen killed in militant attack at Zanipora in Shopian | | 
Srinagar, December 11 (Scoop News)-To pay homage to four martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir Police Abdul Majeed Ganaie, Mehraj-ud-din Dar, Anees Ahmad Mir and Hameed-ul-lah Ganaie who were martyred today in a terror attack at Zainapora area of Shopian, a wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Shopian.
Civil & Police Officers including Shri Munir Ahmed Khan, ADGP (Security/Law & Order/HG), IGP Kashmir Shri S. P. Pani, DIG SKR Shri Amit Kumar laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains & paid rich tributes to the martyrs who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
Among others who paid floral tributes include SP Shopian, DC Shopian, officers and jawans of the district and officers from other forces.
It may be mentioned that Terrorists in the afternoon today fired upon the guard post deployed at Zainapora in District Shopian.
Terrorists fired indiscriminately on a guard post at Zainapora area of Shopian in which four Jawans sustained injuries. Three of the Jawans succumbed to the injuries and attained martyrdom in this incident while the other injured jawan was shifted to the Hospital for medical treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries.
