Deputy Chairman LAHDC reviews PMGSY works


Leh, December 13 (Scoop News)-To review the present status of all the PMGSY roads in Leh district especially seven (7) major roads amount to Rs. 129.50 crore sanctioned under PMGSY 12th Phase in the month of June 2018, the Deputy Chairman LAHDC, Leh Gyal P. Wangyal had a detailed discussion about all the PMGSY roads with SE PMGSY Tashi Chombel in his office chamber today.
SE PMGSY Tashi Chombel apprised Dy. Chairman that contract has already been allotted for the 36 Km Man Pangong-Khakted road (Rs. 36 crore) and work on this vital road will start in the month of April 2019. Likewise, the contract allotment of 28 Km Liker –Hemis road (Rs. 27 crore), 30 Km Mahey-Korzok road (Rs. 26 crore) and 11 Km Stok Circular road (Rs. 12 Crore ) was also issued. Said SE Chombel. He further added that work on 20 Km Domkhar Dho to Domkhar Gongma (Rs. 16 crore) and 7 Km Kungyam road (Rs.5 crore) has already started and 4 Km Sharnoos to Shara road (R.3.61crore) is in tendering process.
SE Chombel said that for the first time for 10 % plastic waste will be used in macadamization of Stok Circular road keeping in mind the multiple benefit of it. Dy. Chairman and SE PMGSY also discussed about all the completed and pending old roads under PMGSY in Leh district in detail. Chombel said that Lingshed village is also expected to connect with PMGSY road by June 2019.
