| Trekker dies due to cardiac arrest during Chaddar trek. | |
Leh(Ladakh), January 12, (Scoop News)_A Mumbaikar, Doval Suresh Shah, died due to cardiac arrest during Chadder trek in great Himalayan range of Ladakh region, informed sources said on Friday.
His body was recovered near Tibb Caves on Chaddar treak in Leh district after Indian Air Force (IAF) launched rescue operation in the area, they added.
The region received season’s first snowfall two days back and brought the temperature down the freezing point.
A weeklong trek from Nimu on frozen Zanskar River is invariably undertaken by the tourists during winter months and it attracts hundreds of holidaymakers every year.
One of the major attractions of Ladakh region is the vast scope it offers for trekking round the year.
