| Mission Director National Health Mission visits Poonch, reviews health sector | |
Poonch ,Janary 14 (Scoop News)-Mission Director National Health Mission, Bhupinder Kumar, visited Poonch and convened a meeting to review the functioning of health sector in the district.
Chairman, District Health Society, Rahul Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Mushtaq Bhatti, Superintendent District Hospital, Block Medical Officers besides officials of the department were present in the meeting.
The Mission Director had a detailed discussion of various schemes related to health sector and directed improvement in the existing status. He also reviewed the physical achievements under Kayakalp, Mera Aspatal and other such schemes besides discussing training status of ASHA workers.
He directed the concerned to spread awareness on Ayshmaan Bharat scheme so that maximum people can avail benefit of this flagship programme of the central government. He asked for concerted efforts in effective implementation of schemes on ground.
Chairman DHS, while apprising the meeting about the issues related to health sector in the district, highlighted several issues like shortage of Doctors and CHCs performance.
