| Bankrupt Pakistan trying to divert the attention of people from real issues by raking up Kashmir | |

As Pakistan’s debt is soaring, the Current Account Deficit is widening, reserves are dangerously lowering, and the currency is devaluing and the country is almost bankrupt, its government and establishment is trying to divert the attention of more than 200 million people from real issues by raking up Kashmir.
Pakistan’s current account and trade deficits have hit record low while foreign exchange reserves continue to fall. But instead of addressing these issues and providing basic amenities of life to its huge population, the Pakistani government is relying on rhetoric on Kashmir. Pakistan Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mehrunnisa Mazari has off late been beating about the bush by raking up Kashmir.
In a recent write-up “Kashmir: A potential blueprint for Conflict Resolution” has spoken about so-called UN Resolutions on Kashmir. The rant for plebiscite to decide the future of Kashmir has been even termed as redundant by the then Secretary General of UNO, Mr. Kofi Anan several years back.
The first and foremost part of these co-called UN resolutions was that Pakistan would vacate the part of J&K held areas and restore the pre-1947 position. But it was never done. The entire population complexion was changed. There were over 35 percent Hindu, Sikh and other minorities in what is now ironically called as “Azad Kashmir”. In this part not a single member of the minority community has been left.
If Shireen Mehrunnisa Mazari really wants the resolution of conflict, she should ask her Government to start withdrawing its troops from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan and then talk about so-called UN resolutions. And if she and her Government can’t do it as whole world knows that they are helpless before Pakistan Army, they should atleast concentrate on providing basic amenities to millions of people, who crave for it.
But right from its inception in 1947, Pakistan has been going to various countries from US to Gulf countries and China with a begging bowl to run the country. China, Pakistan's so-called all-weather friend, is going to wreck its finances and societal structure under the garb of China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC).
A 15-year master plan of CPEC that has come to light reveals that Pakistan will be fully subjugated by China under the current terms and conditions of the project. But Pakistani establishment is trying to hide all its failures from the common people, but beating the drums about so-called Kashmir issue. Time is not far when common people in Pakistan will raise their voice against this exploitation by its leadership and military.
