Good foundation at primary stage imperative for students’ overall growth: Rana


Nagrota,February 11 (Scoop News)- National Conference Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana on Monday emphasized the vital aspects of good foundation at the primary stage, before students launch themselves in higher classes.

“Faculty, parents and managements of the school has to play important role in this regard, not only in terms of providing congenial academic environs but also raising infrastructural facilities by keeping pace with advanced technological developments”, Mr Rana said while addressing the Annual Day function of Chenab Valley Public School, Ranjan in Nagrota Assembly Constituency.

He said that the teachers and parents have to work in synergy in shaping destiny of children, especially amid the pulls and pressures of modern times. In this context, he highlighted the need for frequent teacher-parent interactions, which he described as important component of the learning process.

Mr Rana expressed the hope that alongside academics, schools would pay equal attention towards extra-curricular activities, sports and personality development, which constitute important ingredients of the overall growth of students.

While appreciating the growing role of private sector in the field of education, Mr Rana said healthy competition between schools would ultimately benefit the youngsters and place them in good stead in meeting the challenges of modern times with confidence.

Mr Rana expressed happiness over the growth of Chenab Valley Public School and hoped that it will play its role in missionary spirit. He lauded the distinction achieved by students in various disciplines, hoping they will maintain excellence in years to come.

Principal Mr Dheeran Thakur presented the annual report, highlighting distinction achieved by students in various disciplines of education and extra-curricular activities while Chairman, Mr Rashpal Thakur gave an overview of the facilities made available for the student.

On the occasion, students presented a variety programme, depicting different facets of the pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir. Clad in traditional costumes, they enthralled the audience by their scintillating performance

Mr Rana appreciated the performance of young students in the cultural items.

Besides Vice Principal Ms Neha Thakur, teachers and parents, Sham Lal Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Sohan Singh , Sanjeev Singh, Balbir Singh, Kabla Singh, Dayal Singh (Lucky),Tejpal Singh, Rekha Langeh and others were also present at the Annual Day Function.
