33 CRPF personnel martyred, 11 injured in Awantipora Kashmir:Police
Various Countries,Politicians Across Parties Condemn Pulwama terror Attack


Srinagar, February 14 (Scoop News)-At least thirty three CRPF jawans were martyred and eleven injured in a IED blast at Letipora in Awantipora in South Kashmir.
Police said that Police in Police District Awantipora today attended a gruesome terror crime spot at Ladhu Mode Lethpora at about 1515 hours following an explosion by terrorists targeting a security forces’ convoy travelling from Jammu to Srinagar.

According to Police one vehicle which was part of the convoy carrying CRPF Personnel bore the brunt of the blast resulting in multiple casualties. Exact number of casualties is being ascertained, so far 33 fatal causalities have been confirmed. Injured have been shifted to hospitals for medical treatment.
Police has registered a case in the matter. Officers investigating this terror crime are at work to establish the full circumstances which led to the blast.
Police condemn this gruesome terror attack and stand by the families of martyred and injured jawans at this critical juncture.
Citizens are requested to stay away from the blast site as the blast site needs to be preserved properly for investigators to examine. Your cooperation will be much appreciated in this regard.
Jaish-e-Mohammed claims responsibility for IED blast targeting CRPF personnel in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir said officials.



Meanwhile various countries including US,Russia, Nepal, SriLanka also condemn the terror attack in Kashmir Pulwama district and said it stands alongside India in defeating terrorism.


Politicians from across parties expressed their shock at the terror attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama today in which nearly 40 soldiers were killed and dozens injured.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to Home Minister Rajnath Singh. "The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs," PM Modi tweeted.
Jammu and Kashmir politicians Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah were among the first to condemn the attack. "No words are enough to condemn the gruesome terror attack. How many more lives will be snuffed out before this madness ends?" People's Democratic Party chief and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti tweeted.
