| EVM,VV PAT awareness camp held at Deskit Nubra | |
Leh, March 21 (Scoop News)-disseminate awareness about functioning and procedures of EVMs and VV PATs which are to be used for upcoming general Lok Sabha elections in Leh district, the District Election Authority, Leh is holding a comprehensive drive across Leh district these day through experts and master trainers. As a part of this campaign, a daylong awareness programmes for the voters held at Mini Stadium Deskit Nubra today under the supervision of DC/ District Election Officer, Leh Avny Lavasa. More than 300 people mainly young voters attended the camp.
Addressing to a huge gathering, DC giving introduction of VV PAT, laid special emphasis upon the participants to gain full knowledge about the functioning of this machine and also urged them to further share the knowledge among their family members and others. She highlighted the importance and value of votes in electing a good candidate and stressed the need of larger people’s participations in the election process for better future and more progress.
On this occasion, the students of Higher Secondary School, Deskit presented a Skit on the significance of elections which received high applauses.
A separate meeting with the officers and Nodal officers was also held by District Election Officer at Deskit today and reviewed the preparedness and strategies of ensuing Lok Sabha elections in Nubra segment. The implementations on model code of conduct and other important issues also reviewed and discussed in the meeting.
