| Awantipora police organizes talent hunt event “Choona Hai Aasman” | |
Srinagar,July 11 (Scoop News)-As part of its public outreach programme, Awanitpora Police under the auspices of Civic Action Programme organized a talent hunt event “Choona Hai Aasman” at District Police Lines Awantipora.
A large number of participants from different institutions of the district participated in the event. They were categorized in three age groups viz 5-12 years, 13-18 years and 19-25 years.
Senior officers from Police, Civil, Education department and respectable citizens of the adjacent areas were also present at the event.
On the occasion, SSP Awantipora Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS expressed that valley is blessed with youth full of talent and they need to be motivated to excel in different fields. Further he said that the sole objective of these programmes is to provide a platform to those children who are otherwise unable to explore opportunity to showcase their talent before the world.
At the conclusion, trophies and cash rewards were distributed among the winners in each age group.
