| KPs present roadmap for their return, rehabilitation to Khanna | |
Jammu, July 20 (Scoop News)-A group of the members belonging to Kashmiri Pandit community called on BJP National Vice-President & J&K Prabhari, Avinash Rai Khanna, during his recent visit to Jammu and presented a representation on return and rehabilitation roadmap for the six lakh Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir.
Through the representation, they stated that the community has not been able to return to their homeland, Kashmir, even after thirty years of the unfortunate forced exodus and there is a need to instil confidence, provide adequate rehabilitation package and adopt a return & reconciliation programme. They added that the return of Kashmiri Pandits is important to bring peace in valley and that a threefold package need to be provided which include physical and economic rehabilitation packages and ensuring their safety and security. They further stressed that any person, having any ancestral documents like state subject, school certificate, ration card, property documents, birth certificate, Voter I-Card, Pension Card, any of these documents should be considered as the proof for being part of the return and rehabilitation programme.
Avinash Rai Khanna, on going through the representation, assured them that whatever has been mentioned in the representation would be examined and taken up at the appropriate level.
Prominent among those who handed over the representation to Avinash Rai Khanna included Satish Mahaldar, Lokesh Qazi, Monika Mahaldar, Kamal Chowdhary, R.K. Koul and others.
