| AIKS to observe Abhinavgupta Jayanti on 2nd June | |
Jammu, May 31 (Scoop News)-Acharya Abhinavgupta is the fountainhead of the Kashmir Shaiva Darshana. He is accepted with bringing in before the entire humankind the joy of the Shaiva Shastras, whose root is in Kashmir-the home of Shiva and Shakti. Mahamaheshwaracharaya Abhinavagupta’s wisdom transcends the barriers of definite geographic bounds or philosophical shifts. It has influence not solely for the Shaiva Sadaks but for the full Bharata. Shaiva doctrine propounded by him right from the moment of the revelations of the Shaiva Sutras till its institutionalization in philosophy and ritual practice of Tantra, establishes Kashmir as the nucleus of the Sanskrit Bharata.

In the webinar meeting, AIKS (All India Kashmiri Samaj) core Committee resolved to observe Abhinavgupta Jayanti on 2nd June 2020. As the Nation is under lockdown, it will have the ceremonies at individual levels from their houses. In the meeting it was worked out to request the President Col. (Dr.) Tej Tikoo who presided over the meeting to circulate a call to the AIKS affiliates and in-specific the community (President’s Appeal linked).
The Appeal is to perform the Jayanti of one of the history’s biggest saint Acharya Abhinavgupta by lighting a Diya at their homes at 7PM on 2nd June and invoke the blessings to bring forth light in these harsh days and chase away the darkness and utter Bhairava Strotram.
