New Education Policy deserves open debate by educationists, statesmen, political parties:Bhim Singh
Jammu, August 07 (Scoop News)- Reacting strongly on the decision of Modi government on ‘New Education Policy’, Prof. Bhim Singh, Sr. Advocate in Supreme Court of India called on the political leadership of the country and the educationist class to have a serious discussion on the ‘New Education Policy’ propounded by Modi led government in the centre about the real changes in the present ‘New Education Policy’ in India which has the impact on the education system in whole of the country. He felt surprised that this most needed ‘Education Policy’ proposed by the Prime Minister without consultation or a general discussion on the floor of Parliament where representatives from all corners/states of the country could have participated and contributed in shaping the ‘New Education Policy’.

He said that India has multiple and distinguished cultural, social, geographical, linguistic identity and each cultural identity deserves to be kept in mind in the ‘New Education Policy’ which has been proposed for whole of the country by the Ministry of Education in India without taking the Parliament into confidence or even evaluating the cultural and linguistic background from Kanyakumari to J&K and Dwarka to Imphal.

Prof. Bhim Singh has called on all political parties in the country, the intellectuals, social groups and historians to read carefully the so called ‘New Education Policy’ in fact Narendra Modi’s new revolutionary policy for the whole country least realizing the socio-geographical/cultural & historic background of different corners of India. The policy makers have not been able to justify the ‘New Education Policy’ which has been forcibly introduced in India without even taking confidence of the Parliament and the political leadership from all corners of the country.
Prof. Bhim Singh has proposed to hold meeting of all legislators hailing from different political parties and corners in this regard at the earliest.
