Nation and National interests are always supreme: Chrungoo

Jammu, August 07 (Scoop News)- "The nation and the national interests are always supreme, and there is no licenses to anyone to do anything that damages the national interests in a strategic state like Jammu and Kashmir. Any kind of a demand for reversal to state or the so-called special status will have naturally a chain reaction in the given socio-political scenario in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir", said Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP & KP leader and Incharge: Department of political affairs and Feedback, J&K BJP.

Chrungoo was addressing a "Global Webinar on the significance of August 5th" organized by the internet enclave, Pune on the occasion of the first anniversary of abrogation of Article 370/35A. The Webinar was coordinated by Rakesh Bhat, Coordinator of the programme. The viewers sent a number of questions on issues relating to the political matters, Domicile, resettlement of the displaced people in Kashmir, Temples and Shrines Bill struggle, PM's Employment package recruitments and their concerns regarding accommodation in the valley and the general recruitment in the UT of J&K. The two-hour session attracted a large number of global viewership and their questions were replied by the BJP and KP leader.

"The nation and the national interests are always supreme, and there is no licences to anyone to do anything that damages the national interests in a strategic state like Jammu and Kashmir. The governments both at the centre and in the UT are conscious of their duties in this regard, and thus there will be no dereliction of duties. BJP has fulfilled it's long standing promises made to the people including the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya keeping in view its constitutional responsibilities", he added.

Chrungoo further added that the so-called demand for a reversal to state or special status is not an issue for the government or the administration at this point of time. These are the issues within the purview of the parliament and raising such demands without application of mind is tantamount to political opportunism. It will ultimately lead to political haracurry for the people of the state. The central administration was necessitated due to the security related political situation in the J&K state. Both the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister are on record in the parliament about this issue and there is absolutely no need to dilute the position required to deal with the Pakistan sponsored terrorism and the secessionist activism including the above ground support to the both in the UT.
