| Prof. M.L.Raina passes away | |
Jammu, September 25 (Scoop News)-Senior Advisor of Panun Kashmir, Prof. M.L.Raina left for his heavenly abode today. After exodus from Kashmir, Prof. Raina was associated with Panun Kashmir as Chairman of the Political Affairs Committee and lately as a Senior Advisor. Prof. Raina was an intellectual of the highest order and had a deep understanding of the socio-political milieu of the state. Prof. Raina represented Panun Kashmir at various forums with great distinction.He was also a prolific writer and commentator on various issues affecting the community and nation at large.
A condolence meeting was held today, where rich tributes were paid to him for his immence contributions to Panun Kashmir and the Kashmiri Pandit Community.
President Panun Kashmir Virender Raina said that we have lost a great pillar of intellectual strength. Raina added that it would be very difficult to find a man of his calibre. His contributions to the cause of the community would be written in golden letters.
BJP leader Ashwani Chrungoo, paid glowing tributes to him and recalled the contributions of Prof. M.L.Raina.Ashwani Chrungoo also recalled the great qualities of head and heart of the late Prof. Raina.
Gen. Secretary Kamal Bagati, said that Prof. Raina provided us with ideological bedrock.
Gen. Secretary, Upinder Koul recalled the sterling services of Prof. Raina to the cause of the community.
Condolence messages from all across the globe are pouring in expressing shock and disbelief at the passing away of Prof. Raina.
