| Declaration of Poll Day as public/paid holiday on 6th LAHDC,Election, 2020 | |
Leh(Ladakh),October 21(Scoop News)-Commissioner/Secretary General Administration Department UT Ladakh, Ajeet Kumar Sahu issued an order regarding the holding of 6th LAHDC, Election, 2020- Declaration of Poll Day as public/paid holiday. The order reads that public Holiday shall be observed within the limits of Leh district on account of 6th LAHDC, Election, 2020, on the date of Poll, as fixed i.e. on 22nd October 2020 (Thursday);
Public holiday under the Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 shall be observed within the limits of Leh district on the date of Poll, as fixed i.e. on 22nd October 2020.
iii. Special Casual Leave shall be granted to the employees who have to go to other areas for exercising their right to franchise, for which they will demonstrate proof of voting on return;
. The Poll Day i.e. fixed on 22nd October 2020; shall also be declared as paid holiday to every person employed in any business, trade, Industrial undertakings or any other establishment entitled to Vote. Daily wager/ Casual workers shall also be entitled for the holiday and wages on the poll day.
