| Bandipora Police solves murder case; FIR registered, accused arrested | |
Srinagar, October 22 (Scoop News)-Police in Bandipora solved a murder case and arrested the accused involved in the commission of crime after carrying out investigation in a professional manner.
On 12-10-2020 police post Aloosa received information that one person namely Javid Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar resident of Zurmanz has committed suicide by hanging himself at his home. Accordingly, proceedings under section 174 CRPC were initiated.
Taking cognizance of the case, Special Investigating Team (SIT) under the supervision of SSP Bandipora & headed by DySP Hqrs Bandipora was constituted. During the course of investigation and from spot visit, it surfaced that the case looks more of a murder than suicide. In this connection, many suspects were brought for questioning. Proceedings in the case revealed that wife of the deceased along with another person identified as Shahzad Ahmad Dar, who were in extra marital affair with each other, administered some sedative drugs to deceased and strangulated him to death. Both the persons have admitted their involvement in the commission of crime and have been arrested.
Consequently, a case FIR No. 116/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Bandipora and further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
