| LMD constitutes 12 special squads to intensify market checking in Jammu Division | |
Jammu, October 23 (Scoop News)-Legal Metrology Department has constituted special squads for market checking in order to monitor the complaints regarding less weightage, use of defective weighing and measuring instruments, non display of rate list and over charging etc.
Twelve special squads /teams have been constituted for the Jammu Division to launch a massive inspection drive with 3 squads for Jammu district and one squad each for Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Poonch districts to keep check in markets for discrepancies .
Public at large has been requested to lodge complaints of less weighment, use of defective weighing and measuring instruments, non display of rate list of commodities etc on toll free number 18001807105 of Legal Metrology Department and for non display of rate list of daily use commodities on toll free no. 18001807106 of Food , Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
