Jammu,March 23 (Scoop News)-Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh today appealed to the Govt to ensure reservation of skilled and unskilled jobs for the local unemployed youth in the industrial sector in District Samba.
As per a press release, a meeting was organized at Baingalar village in Ramgarh, Samba which was organized by District President, Legal Cell, Samba, Adv Sahil Bharti.
During the meeting, the Party leaders discussed the existing political situation and the issues being faced by the people, especially the unemployed youth and the increase in drug addiction/drug peddling incidents.
While chairing the meeting, the Former Minister said that he was disheartened with the situation of growing unemployment among the educated youth in Govt as well as private sector.
He criticized the traditional political parties for not supporting the local population’s right to get employment at the local industrial level.
He said that the local industrial sectors are provided facilities and subsidies for opening their units in Jammu’s Samba, Bari Brahmana and other parts of the Jammu and Kashmir with a condition that they would improve infrastructure, and provide employment to the local youth on priority.
Contrary to what they had assured the authorities, he said that these industrial sectors have employed outsiders by denying job opportunities to the local youth in skilled and unskilled employment in their respective units.
“This deliberate negligence regarding employment to local unemployed youth has given rise to many issues in these industrial areas from criminal incidents, drug addiction, and growing unemployment among the educated youth,” he said.
He demanded that the industrial sector must cooperate with the authorities and help in redressing the issue of unemployment among the youth by providing them equal opportunity.
The meeting was also attended by District President of the Party, Samba, Raman Thappa, Block President, Ramgarh, Bachan Choudhary, Block President Vijaypur, Mohan Lal Sharma, and others.
