ASSOCHAM in collaboration with ASCOMS launches covid vaccination drive for Industrial, Corporate staff


Jammu, August 04 (Scoop News)- ‘Vaccination is the only weapon to fight covid-19’- keeping it in mind, The J&K Council of Associated Chamber of Commerce, and Industries of India (ASSOCHAM) in collaboration with ASCOMS Sidhra has started vaccination drive for Corporate and Industrial staff.
The trade and industry of Jammu and Kashmir was badly affected during the two waves of Coronavirus and lockdowns, but to prevent the third wave vaccination is the only solution.
“As we all know that getting vaccinated is a very important step towards reducing the spread of Covid, being a responsible National Chamber, we have tied up with ASCOMS to promote Covid vaccination drive amongst our members and other corporates and industries of J&K. We request everyone to come forward and get vaccinated as it is safe and effective,” said Manik Batra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council.
J&K Council of ASSOCHAM appeals all the industries and Corporates established in J&K to share the details of their staff to ASSOCHAM J&K Office to get them vaccinated on priority.
Acharya Shri Chandra College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) Hospital is one of the primum medical institutions in Jammu and Kashmir.
“It is our privilege to be associated with ASSOCHAM J&K Council for vaccination drive and we welcome all the corporate and Industrial staff for vaccination through ASSOCHAM. We have sufficient stock of Covishield and Covaxin,” said Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS Hospital.
“ASCOMS centre is one of the most advanced vaccination centre which is providing proper space for vaccination and post vaccination waiting period and above all a proper AEFI (Adverse Event Following Immunization) treatment centre in which the critical care equipment like ventilator, heigh flow oxygen delivery system, bipap along with all the emergency medicines are available,” he added.
Dr. M A Alim, Co- Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council said, “To keep the industrial operations active, it is very important to take care of the health of the staff. ASSOCHAM in collaboration with ASCOMS is paving way for the corporates and industries to get their staff vaccinated at the earliest. So that they can continue to contribute to the economic growth of the country.”
