Mayor JMC visits Ajit colony extn. assures to provide deep drains



Jammu, November 24 (Scoop News)-A simple and impressive function was organised at Ajit Colony Extn. under the presidentship of Bhushan Lal Koul, president of the committee in connection with the visit of Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta who was the Chief Guest on the occasion along with Hon'ble Councillor Ward 32 Sat Pal Karloopia, the Guest of Honour.



Hon'ble Mayor and corporator first of all visited the site obstructing the flow of rain water of the street due to blockage of the water channel along natural north-south slope draining rain water from the house of S. Hakoomat Singh (north) to the house of Puran Chand(south end) due to construction work without leaving space for its passage. This has led to a situation where during heavy rains water will enter the houses on the blocked south end leading to stagnation, dirt, disease and difficulty in walking/driving and damaging property.



The president welcomed the guests and a memorandum was read out by Arun Jandial Secretary of the Committee stressing the urgency of construction of an effective drainage system which can be possible only through deep drains after preparation of Detailed Project Report which is the very first requisition for seeking funds. While appreciating massive development works by the corporators under his mayorship it was also requested that it should be equitable and not lop-sided so that those lacking right connections and influence may also taste fruits of development.



Heartfulness trainer Sourabh Sharma and practitioner Lal Chand of the Heartfulness Yoga and Meditation Centre, Jammu situated nearby on this occassion also presented a copy of the best seller book 'Designing Destiny' by Heartfulness Global Guide and president of the Institute and Sahaj Marg, Sh. Kamlesh D. Patel popularly known as Daaji. They also briefed the Mayor about its Rajyoga meditation system which helps regulate the mind, improves health, increases stamina, immunity, reduces stress and prevents life-style diseases.



The Mayor gave a patient hearing and assured of getting the required DPR for deep drains in the locality prepared from UEED in consultation with the corporator.

The function concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Pardeep Sharma, organising Secretary.



Prominent among those who attended the function included S.Harbans Singh, Vice-president, Badri Nath Jotshi, cashier, Balwinder Kumar (Ballu) Former Councillor, D.K.Raina, Amrik Singh, M.K.Koul, Gurdip Singh, Puran Chand, Ashok Lalpuri, Bhushan Lal Raina, Ashok Pandita, Chaman Lal, Ramesh Bhat and R.C. Gupta.
